With over 20 years of entrepreneurial leadership, Salma Karina Hayat has founded and led five ventures across diverse industries, including eCommerce, lead generation for direct marketing and healthcare, wellness app development, and multifamily unit construction. As the Transformation, Change, and Innovation Advisor at Kudos Technologies, she focuses on helping SMEs reduce business chaos through customized software solutions that streamline and automate sales, operations, and marketing in a conscious, holistic manner.
Karina’s impact extends beyond business. Recognized with prestigious accolades such as WXN Canada’s Most Powerful Women Award, Chatelaine PROFIT W100 Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs, and Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Pacific Finalist, she was also honored in 2022 as a Government of Canada Women of Impact trailblazer for her pioneering contributions across various fields.
Her commitment to social impact is equally remarkable. From teaching literacy in Guatemala to co-founding Canada’s first Muslim Food Bank and launching the “100 Meals a Week Initiative,” which evolved into the Muslim Care Center, Karina’s efforts span family reunification, mental health advocacy, interfaith dialogue, and homelessness alleviation. As a former Chairwoman of the BCMA Vancouver chapter, she fostered community unity and safety, while her work with Syrian refugee families highlights her dedication to global humanitarian causes.
Karina’s passion for education and mentorship is evident through the scholarships she established for underprivileged students. Looking ahead, her plans to write books and establish an orphanage and homeless shelter reflect her unwavering dedication to creating lasting social impact and uplifting communities worldwide.
